Reimbursement
Superbills Available

I provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients recoup a portion of the session cost.

On Private Pay

Why I've chosen not to take insurance.

Insurance reimbursement requires assigning a mental-health diagnosis to your permanent record, can limit the number of sessions you're allowed, and often dictates what we can and can't address in our work.
Private pay keeps your privacy intact and our treatment plan between us — based on what actually serves you, not what fits a billing code. I'm happy to talk through this further if you have questions.

Frequently Asked

Common questions.

Where are sessions held?
All sessions are held virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. I'm licensed in Texas, so I can see anyone who is a resident of the state — from anywhere within it.
How long is a session, and how often will we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin meeting weekly, then taper to every other week or monthly as the work evolves. We'll find the cadence that fits your goals and your life.
How does the superbill process work?
After each session, I can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt — that you submit to your insurance company. If you have out-of-network mental-health benefits, your insurer may reimburse you for a portion of the session. I recommend calling your insurance company in advance to ask about out-of-network coverage.
What if I'm not sure if therapy is right for me?
That's a completely fair place to start. Reach out and we can schedule a brief conversation to talk through what you're looking for and whether we might be a good fit. There's no pressure either way.
Do you prescribe medication?
No — I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, not a psychiatrist. If medication becomes part of the conversation in our work together, I'm happy to refer you to a psychiatric provider who can collaborate with us.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows may be billed the full session fee. Life happens — we'll talk through the specifics in our first session.
